With so much tragedy surrounding these events, it’s hard to really feel the weight of how awful it is until it impacts someone we know.  The tornado that struck Joplin, MO claimed over a hundred lives, including an employee of a local Harley-Davidson Dealership (sources say).   The pictures above show the destruction as witnessed by one of the managers at Cycle Connection Harley-Davidson of Joplin, MO, and shows the complete and total destruction of the entire area.  This tornado left little standing in it’s wake, when it tore through this small town at around dinner time on May 22, 2011, destroying everything it touched.

At the St. Johns Regional Medical Center, the three quarter mile wide tornado, one of the deadliest in history, forced its way through windows and doors, covering patients with glass, sucking employees from the emergency room out of windows and into the parking lot, and even damaged a backup generator, causing it to shut down, leaving ventilators and other medical equipment without power.
